That’s why we’ve put together this simple guide that breaks down everything you need to know to share videos on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Read on to learn the video specifications for each social media channel and some hot tips to help you create the most effective video content.

FACEBOOK VIDEOS

>> HOT TIP: For best results, Facebook recommends uploading videos in .MP4 and .MOV format with H.264 compression, square pixels, fixed frame rate, progressive scan, and stereo AAC audio compression at 128kbps+.

FACEBOOK VIDEO ADS:

Recommended resolution: 1280 x 720
Minimum dimensions 600 x 315 (1.9:1 landscape) or 600 x 600 (1:1 square).
Minimum size, landscape video: 600 x 315 pixels (1.9:1 aspect ratio)

Max Video File Size 4GB.
Recommended video formats are .MP4 and .MOV.
Max Video Length: 120 minutes

>> HOT TIP: When creating the content for your Facebook Video Ad, we recommend keeping the video short, making sure your video can understood with the sound off (i.e. use captions if needed) grabbing your viewers attention early and getting your branding (i.e. your logo) in early (within the first 3 sec) — this way even if they quickly scroll by, you’re still getting some brand awareness in.

Native video plays quickly and directly in the feed, meaning your audience doesn’t have to leave LinkedIn to watch. Plus, not only is video content shared more, but video campaigns are generating view rates close to 50%!
